He’s going to wreck the story! And be super OP! Congratulations!
I hope so. Thanks!
My Aldo still at 4* when I cleared chapter 84.
Congrats! It's absolutely nuts that you maxed his Light using the H AD. How long did you take?
Honestly I have no idea. I'd say maybe around a year because I was only using my red keys to grind out his light and I didn't use any tsubara gems to buy red keys. Had to save gems for otherlands materials/green keys. Plus I did take a couple breaks from Another Eden for some months. Most likely it took me a year and some months.
Ah my bad, I misread and thought you hadn't unlocked the VH ADs yet and were using the H AD
Actually, I have a question. What are the best badges you've gotten from otherlands grinding, given that you've grinded literally an entire set of weapons from there?
Best being the highest combined stats added, and I guess singleton highest stat too.
Doesn't seem like I've been very lucky on that front. Looked through my badges and here are two examples for each stat.
+25PWR +2LCK, +21PWR +6LCK,
+24INT +3SPD, +21INT +7END,
+24END +1LCK, +22END +5SPRT,
+24SPD +2LCK, +21SPD +8END,
+27LCK +3SPD, +25LCK +5INT,
+25SPRT +4PWR, +23SPRT +7LCK
First column shows the highest stat badge I think I've gotten from otherlands. The 2nd column shows the same stat but with the 2nd highest stat I got if that makes sense. I only went through badges that are +20 and over because I seem to have around 10-20 for each stat because of all that otherlands.
That is incredibly gross. And also really bad for the theory that you can get +40/+20s.
Ya whenever they rework otherlands they should probably rework the rates and include rewards for completing all lvls of otherlands. Of course maybe I'm just unlucky, my gacha luck has been terrible lately.
Im on chapter 80 with like 7 light Aldo 💀
A wise decision in my opinion.
I mean Aldo is a good choice for farming light but progressing is more important.
Wow what a nice way to spend those red keys as you farmed all those otherlands equipment! Wish I had that dedication and energy though…
Part of it was just I didn't start progressing again till I finished fishing and Ratle otherlands. With those done I've finishing Time Mine and then finally Ogre Wars. So I was kinda in the mindset my keys were going to be wasted otherwise. Helps that content never guys away so I just chip at it a little at a time.
How the heck do you max him? I’m only on chapter 23 or so but have no idea how to get his Light thingy and my luck isn’t happening for the sword master tome lol
Light comes from Miglance Castle AD. Have Aldo on your team and there's like a 10% chance that he'll get +1 light at the end.
As for the sword master tome, i think those just come along with the story. You'll get them as you progress
10% for hard, 20% for very hard
the rate is a lie!
Ah that’s huge thanks! I’ll grind the castle a bit then
The others are correct but I would just like to add it takes a long time to do this and I was only able to cause I'm not prioritizing the story. As for the sword master tome I believe you get one for doing the First Knight Episode if you still need one.
Ahhh okay! I was wondering how the devs expected you to get the stuff since Aldo is the MC and all that
Congrats on maxing him out :)
Why? I am pretty new myself, is Aldo really that strong?
In the last main story update, wfs provides buff to increase Aldo’s skills with various offensive buff/debuff, with his 5* skills are also upgraded to do extra damage based on his light. Now he is a viable option for DPS and/or offensive support even against the recent superbosses.
In short yes, Aldo is really that strong now, especially in AF.
If still early in the game or newly starting the Goddess of Time main story arc, you won't feel it yet. Aldo grows into a powerhouse at very VERY late game (ch84? or near end of the story) with skills getting buffs based on light count. Aldo (almost) never leaves my party now, even with only 94 light.
Well I know Aldo recently got a buff so I guess hes okay for a free character. The main reason is because in this game you need to reach certain light or shadow thresholds to get dungeon rewards. For example, to get three rewards from Very Hard Another Dungeons your team needs a total of 120 light or shadow depending on the dungeon. There aren't many ways to get light or shadow but some free characters like Aldo have dungeons that can raise their light. It doesn't have to be Aldo but I just did him cause hes the main character.
What dungeon? The ones u need cards for? U get light/shadow from them?
You get a 10% chance to gain light/shadow using green keys for Hard mode dungeons and a 20% chance to gain light/shadow using red keys for Very Hard mode dungeons.
This will only apply to specific free characters from the main story, episodes, and mythos but *WILL NOT* apply to many many characters from the gacha system.
Oh really? Do u have a video toturial for it?
No but I have this link you can use.
They’re in the process of moving servers so it might be a little slow to load.
Basically you just have to run a specific dungeon with the character you’re trying to upgrade. They only have to be in your party, not necessarily in your main four characters.
Ty, i cannot open the link yet, but will as soon as they finish moving servers
Congrats from me as well!
So I'm an old player and you are somewhat older as well as you Aldo shows but I still have to ask again: Why?
I don't know your other/gacha chars but running Otherlands at this story progression might still be hard, given the unavaialbe gear let alone Grasta (enhancements). If you don't have a preemtive attacker it's just outright crazy in my opinion. As the daily cards are this games grind - which is always considered a bad thing - one should aim to grind as fast, effective and easy as possible, and at least at the beginning it probably was neither of the desired properties.
What I want so say is - I don't understand the decision for this grind, because would you use the time to progress the story(one of the enjoyable parts of the game), you would make the grind easier, get more l/s out of your cards and other things as well. While I understand the desire to have 100% of the gear there are good reasons for the Otherlands to be neglegted by most players.
I followed the build in this post:
Aldo is now my default one click for all content that's not fire + slash resist. Even on resist mobs, he does significant preempt damage - like the underworld AD bird goes down second round just hitting repeat.
After messing around with characters for appropriate zones - which usually required a switch turn for bosses anyway - Aldo is just easier.
How long did this take you and was this fp2 or with CS refills?
Completely f2p, no CS refills, no buying red keys from tsubara shop, and no using green keys either. I'd say its probably taken over a year.
Awesome that's awesome so just started on CC collab. It's good to know how long I'd take to get his light up like that.
Woah. I stopped to do collabs and extra shit on 27 , but i think i am going to resume doing the story and not stop for a while, i have a good team boosted by gacha units and some of those units have skills locked on story quests from later ch
He’s not maxed until lvl 80 but I get what you’re saying. It’s more impressive for him to be 4 star and maxed.
Ya probably should of included "light" in the title.
Eh, everyone knows what you were talking about.
He goes up to lv 80 plus they have other buffs and building his light to 255
I'm aware just cant 5star him yet cause I haven't advanced the story yet.
Oh my gosh… here i am at engame with 3 light…
Wow congrats.. I'm still 183...... After 1 year 😖😣
Long halfway to go...
Man, what the fuck? I was on ch 40 something (on my old account) and the highest light I had was about 40, how do people have the patience to do that?
That might not be true for OP but at the endgame the daily grind is about 20 minutes, maybe 25 for 1,5 l/s and other rewars (treatises, chants).
Yeah, but like you said, it's for end game, OP was at chapter 29 (I'm currently at ch 4 or 5 on my new account) so it's not that short
But why grind instead of progress!? Grind is an endgame thing.
Well, I mainly prefer to grind instead of progressing because I need to be in mood to properly enjoy a story-heavy game. If I'm sleepy or too lazy, I prefer to do something that doesn't require me to think and read
I can understand this somewhat but only to a certain extend. I've come to hate the keys more than fishing lately, because fishing can be done blind, whild I'm watching a show or whatever, but ADs need me to look at the display more often than not.
I personally would regret it not being at the endgame somewhere close to release. I'd probably lose intrest in the game if it was only this grind especially when I see how fast they drop content on us.
Playing to Ch. 29 is so much less than the developers gave us 2021 alone. And one day this game is probably shut down and then I would not have seen a tenth of the story.
Agreed with fishing, on my old account I just started ignoring keys, because being time gated and wasting time made me really anxious. Also, considering the amount of time and work they put into it, I think they'll probably drop stuff like banners and make it a local game. I wouldn't mind paying for AE if it meant getting rid of gacha or getting rid of online functions (such as banners, and making them permanent)
Hope you are right, but I know of no game that got this treatment.
Man of sheer will. Fucking chad
I just finished nameless girl fight but my aldo only has like 15 lights or so
'Ow did ye do it lad?
Except you didn't max him out because he's a 5 star character lmao.
